"I didn't finish the assignment so I'm gonna take her home and finish her. She's gonna have some Farrah Faucet curls."

"Do you have a philosophy on love?"
"A philosophy on love?"
"Well, you're shirt says 'love' on it."
"I believe in love at first sight. But... love is kinda done for me, I'm single. Everyone should stay single."

"Something I'm really proud of? I dunno, I'm really proud of my family."

"Have you ever regretted something?"
"Yes. I think everyone has. Yeah.. at least one thing."

"Are you afraid of anything?"
"Yeah sure, I'm afraid all the time. I'm afraid of the future. Of the lack of social capital."
"I'm afraid of stupidity."

"Is there anything that really brightens your day?"
"I don't have my hearing aid in so, no."

"I'm just going to work, waiting for the bus."

I started to ask a question and then,
"Oh man! here comes the bus. But like, I really want to do this! Will you be wandering around later?"

"Can I take your photograph?"
"If you make it quick, I gotta get to class like 5 minutes ago."

 "Oh man I've always thought, 'I wish I have something cool to say if I ever get stopped on the street' like this..."
"Well, how are  you doing today?"
"I'm good, I'm doing great. For the first time in a while I'm really glad to be in Grand Rapids. It took me a while but it's finally home."

"Is there something you haven't done yet?"
with no hesitation, he said, "Skydiving."

"Is there anything that makes you proud?"
"Oh yeah, being a mother of three kids. Being a wife."

"Describe your day in 3 words"
"just. woke. up."
"so cold here."

"What is a way your life has changed?"
he said, "got off the drugs."
"Is that something recent or from a while ago?"
"Two months."

"I hate this cold weather garabge."
"If you could tell a large group of people something, what would it be?"
"Keep praying to the Lord and he will heal you!"

"What are you most grateful for?"
"Being alive. My health is failing, but I'm still alive."

 "What is your least favorite thing about the city?" "Oh, I don't live here."
after she walked away, she turned around and asked if I knew where the Buffalo Wild Wings was.

"Oh the brew pubs, all the microbrews. lots of stuff to do, but for me the beer." Her, "Well I like the friendliness of the people, he goes for the beer I go for the people."

"What are you taking pictures of?"
"We're in a high school class and ya know, taking pictures of old buildings and stuff... well, we're trying to explore the impact of technology on the city."

"I'm writing a book."
"What is it about?"
"It's called, 'How to Become a Millionaire at Life: Ask Me How I'm Still Alive' I've been down here for 13 years, been beat up, stabbed, I'm still here."
